PRS Excel Training Camp : Day 3

The third day started with a marching competition between each groups are groups with the best and finest, sharpest movement will get the highest marks.

The marching competition lasted only twenty minutes and the real competition was the cooking competition where the heated battle is on between each groups striving to create the most delicious sandwich using the same set of ingredients for each group; two loaves of bread, six eggs, two shallots, three chili, two cans of sardines, some salt, and some oil. Each group will have to create a dish using those ingredients and present it to the teachers to be judged. They will be judged on three factors: taste, presentation and cooperation between each group mates.

Let's kick it off with, group number nine...

group number four...

group number ten....

group number five...

group number six....

group number one....

group number eight...

group number seven....

group number three...

and finally.. group number two...

The winner was group number six. Although their marks on presentation is not as high as group number nine or four, but their marks on taste and cooperation was highly enough to let them win.
After the cooking competition it was the end of it and there's only one last thing left. An official closure of the trip. But before that, students are instructed to disassemble their tents and clean their spot like they way we first came.

The concluding event was the award-giving ceremony for best group, most appealing student, and best cooking. Marks from all seven activities and marching competition was added together to be sum for the best group among all ten groups.

and that my friend, was the conclusion for the three days two nights camping trip to Excel Training Resort in Broga, Semenyih.
But, wait..........camwhore time!!!!!!!!!

Before going back, we were served with one last lunch.

By the way, that staircase you see Zi Ling on was our favorite spot at the camp. Well, actually my favorite spot for ciggie time because that road was clear out-of-the-way that teachers used and isn't visible to the students unless they are entering the chalets area.

All I had to say was that I really enjoyed these three days two nights camping trip. First of all, other than fact that we don't have to pay anything, that's a real bargain. Second of all, although I'm quite hoping to actually try to stay the night in a tent, having to stay in an air-conditioned room is way much  better than one heated tent for the night. Third, I've never jungle-trek before and this was a good opportunity to start. Four, going on these trips can sometimes be rigid for students but hey, we're on the other side of the table now. As teachers, there are even more perks then you can ever think off. Five, all of the students I've met, played and had fun with............. I'll never forget them.

This is obviously so far the second best thing that has happened to me during this practicum besides the Hari Belia event. Thank you, Semukhsin.
